DIE FRAGE sind Sängerin Petra Bosch und Schlagzeuger/Produzent Thomas Klein (Kreidler, Sølyst). Das Duo aus Düsseldorf startete vor 20 Jahren als Elektronik-Folk-Projekt fauna mit einem herbstlich-melancholischem Sound. Nach längerer Pause standen sie 2023 wieder auf der Bühne und präsentierten in thematischer Strenge ihre minimalistischen Versionen bekannter Texte und Songs von Bach bis Bauhaus. Als DIE FRAGE hat sich das Duo erstmal energetisch neu kalibriert. Mit postpunkiger Energie zieht es krachend, knarzend und scheppernd nun andere musikalische Register. Zwischen Synths, Sequenzen und analogen Drumbeats purzeln dadaistische Textfragmente mit befremdlicher poetischer Kraft. Herausgeschält aus geschwärzten Seiten, durch die Sprache mäandernd, verlockt und verstößt, verspricht und betrügt, erklärt und verrätselt DIE FRAGE uns eine sinnliche Welt in wilden Bildern, bewegt und bestimmt aber komplett ahnungslos.
Louretta & Dr. Schmitt lassen Signale, Drähte und Bögen miteinander flüstern, bis Musik eher angedeutet als erklärt ist. Was bleibt, ist ein schwebender Zustand zwischen Maschine und Intuition, kurz vor dem Moment, in dem alles wieder zerfällt. Das Düsseldorfer Duo erschafft mit modularen Synthesizern, selbstgebauten Instrumenten, Gitarre und E-Geige experimentelle Klanglandschaften.

DIE FRAGE are singer Petra Bosch and drummer/producer Thomas Klein (Kreidler, Sølyst). The duo from Düsseldorf started 20 years ago as the electronic folk project fauna, with an autumnal, melancholic sound. After a long hiatus, they returned to the stage in 2023, presenting their minimalist versions of well-known texts and songs, from Bach to Bauhaus, with thematic rigor. As DIE FRAGE, the duo has energetically recalibrated itself. With post-punk energy, they now explore different musical registers, crashing, creaking, and clattering. Between synths, sequences, and analog drumbeats, Dadaist fragments of text tumble with an unsettling poetic power. Extracted from blackened pages, meandering through language, enticing and repelling, promising and deceiving, explaining and enigmatic, DIE FRAGE presents us with a sensual world in wild images, moving and defining, yet utterly clueless.
Louretta & Dr. Schmitt let signals, wires, and bows whisper to one another until music is suggested rather than explained. What remains is a suspended state between machine and intuition, just before the moment when everything falls apart again. With modular synthesizers, self-built instruments, guitar, and electric violin, the Düsseldorf duo creates experimental soundscapes.
